On Thursday, we left at about 9:30 a.m. and started the long, long, drive to Florida. I think we arrived in Valparaiso at about 11:30 p.m. We went with my parents, Joshua, Emily, and her friend Jessica. We had to stop like every 2 hours so Josh could go to the bathroom. On the way back wasn't as bad. It only took 12 hours to get home. But we left at 2 a.m. and then as soon as we got home we left so that Jason could be in class at 3. My mom's sister and her husband live in Valparaiso, which is about 25 minutes from Destin.
Emily and Jessica

We stopped at a Wendy's in Alabama to get dinner. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a picture of this. If you can't tell thats Jason.
On Friday, we went to the Silver Sands Outlet Mall in Destin. They have just about every store you can think of.
This was a play area in the mall.
This was just a car we saw at the mall.
We went to Destin Commons, which is another mall, after Silver Sands. This is a huge shark outside of the Bass Pro Shop. Then we went to Lincoln Park.
Em, Jess, and I playing on the playground.

Showcasing this cute palm tree.
Lincoln Park is on the bay. There was a small beach with posts that marked how far out you can swim. Here is a pelican sitting on one of those posts.
We went to Eglin Air Force Base and had a barbecue on the bay there. We also went jet skiing, which neither of us had done before.

Here we are at the Beach in Destin.
This is at a souvenir shop in Destin called Alvin's Island. That is a real alligator(or crocodile, I'm not sure) head and it cost $199.
